Eleanor's bedroom was referred to as "Command Central"
In this photo Eleanor is wearing a necklace I made for her containing a gold centerpiece that she had been given by Madam Chiang Kai Shek - which had belonged to Madam’s mother. I was a bit concerned about how to do justice to a piece with so much history.
John Loring happened to be visiting that day and I asked him for advice as to how to best design the necklace around it. He suggested that while Eleanor was busy on the phone, we could tiptoe into her room and take an inventory of what clothes she was wearing that season to give us an idea as to color and shape. Great idea
